​​Swimming Baths, Fruit Market, Hull. This project was undertaken during my first year of the MArch (Part II) postgraduate degree.

After completing a group uban study of the area, the short time frame for this individual project (a few weeks from brief creation to final presenation) meant it was important to focus on a few key ideas and utilise time management skills. Following the urban study, I concluded a swimming baths would fill a gap in existing facilities for local residents. It was important that any new structure worked with the existing character (liked by the locals) of the industrial area, despite it being largely run down. Forming street presence whilst working with the context was a core driving force behind the design process.
